Ireland Population Report Available

4th Dec, 2014

The report from the recent population evaluation in Ireland is now available. The work, sponsored by Atlantic Philanthropies, provided a range of Triple P programs of various intensities to parents in the Longford Westmeath counties in the Irish Midlands. These counties were then compared to counties that did not have access to Triple P.

results indicated that making family support available resulted in decreased levels of child emotional and behaviour problems compared to the comparison counties. The results were particularly strong in high needs families which saw a reduction of 37.5%. A range of other improvements were also observed.
